a major product formed in DNA exposed to lipid peroxidation-derived aldehydes in vitro.
Here, we report that two structurally unrelated proteins, theEscherichia coli mismatch-
specific uracil-DNA glycosylase (MUG) and the human alkylpurine-DNA-N-glycosylase
